Have you heard the story about the chicken and the eagle? Well, there was this eagle that laid an egg in a nest where there were chicken eggs. The mother hen took care of all the eggs, including the eagle’s eggs. So when the eggs hatched, the eaglets thought they were the hen’s chicks and did everything young chickens did. They thought like a chicken, ate like chickens, and didn’t fly like chickens. Never did they learn to soar like the eagles they really were.
We can be like these poor eagles, living the way the people of the world live in, ignorant of our inheritance as human beings.
